Garage Surprise
This garage was going to be a special surprise for our client’s husband who was going on a two-week deployment stateside. She wanted to have it all nice and organized for him as well as create a “man cave” area complete with a beer fridge. Since we had two weeks to complete this project, we got our team together to begin the process of clearing everything out of the space onto the driveway, as well as sweeping, trashing and categorizing. And of course, we got the bins and shelving ready.
Our client’s husband had a bunch of military and hunting gear that was divided up and placed into larger bins under their stairs- a much-needed and super helpful area to store items not used a lot throughout the year. One of our favorite details was the pegboard that hung the tools above the new tool chest on wheels. We had the pegboard cut to hang another portion of it to hang the gardening tools by the garage door to access when needed. Since he loves hunting, our client had the animal heads and photos re-hung to create an artsy and cohesive gallery wall above the stairwell. Bikes were hung to keep them off the floor so that her vehicle could easily live in that space.
When he returned, he was indeed surprised! We felt honored to create this special and much-used area for a man that has served our country for many years.
